  • Canopy Tours at Orotina, at 30 minutes.
  • Carara National Park, at 20 minutes.
  • Manuel Antonio National Park at Quepos, at 2 hours.
  • Monteverde Reserve and Cloud Forest, at 3 hours.

How to Drive Here

To get to Punta Leona, the most important thing to remember is to follow the signs to Punta Leona, Jacó and Quepos. These will lead straight to us.

The trip takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Leave San José by way of the Interamerican Highway to the North (towards Puntarenas). The Highway passes by the Juan Santamaría International Airport. Stay on the Interamerican Highway past the Airport for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, until you reach the Atenas Exit. Take the exit towards Atenas and you will see a sign that says Punta Leona Hotel. Follow the signs to Punta Leona Hotel, Jacó and Quepos. You will pass through the towns of Atenas, San Mateo, Orotina and Tárcoles. Punta Leona is on the right side of the road, some 15 minuts past the bridge over the Tárcoles River. You will see a large sign and an entrance gate at your right. You cant miss it.
